OUR HISTORY

The Origin of Our Church:
In 1988, Pastor Luis Fernández sent off a young lady, Marisol Martínez, who was on her
way to the City of New York from the Dominican Republic, saying: “Go, because out of your
house a new church will come forth”. Meanwhile, in the state prison in Fishkill, NY, the Lord
called to heaven Brother Salvador Sabino and showed him a great multitude of people and said
to him, “Preach my Word”. Subsequently, on three other occasions, the Lord told Brother
Sabino to work with Pastor Pablo Fernandez, who was the Apostle and Bishop of “Fountain of
Salvation Christian Churches”. When Brother Sabino was freed from prison, Pastors Pablo and
Bernarda Fernández sent him to strengthen an existing cell group in the house of the Martinez
Family, located at 975 Walton Ave. Apt. # 3C/S,Bronx, N.Y.
Home meetings kept growing in attendance. The brothers preached and taught Christ from
house to house and publicly almost every day of the week. On Sundays, they traveled to the
mother church in Jersey City where they met as a large family to worship God. As worship went
up into heaven, the brothers received the word of God that confirmed the opening of the new
church, meanwhile the cells multiplied through public preaching and through houses. The Lord
also spoke in home meetings through prophecies, dreams and visions. Brother Salvador Sabino,
who was the leader of the cell group, dreamed that the temple needed for the expected opening
of the new church was at a distance from a train stop from where he lived, back then located at
2685 Grand Concourse, where the cell group multiplied in geometric progression.
Thus, on December 16, 1990, the doors of Creston Avenue Baptist Church, a church located just
one train stop, Fordham Rd., Were opened to start the first Christian Church of the Bronx
Fountain of Salvation and plant a banner for the first time in the City of New York. The brothers
rejoicing in the wonders of the Lord continued to serve God by winning souls for Jesus Christ.
The young church grew to greater proportions, the following achievements stand out:
1. ACQUISITION OF OUR TEMPLE: On December 4, 1993, in the rain, a group of some 120
brothers, local members, accompanied by groups representing the Christian Churches Fountain
of Salvation Jersey City and the Charismatic Christian Church from Elizabeth marched towards
their own temple, located at 2868 Jerome Ave. Bronx, NY, all singing together: & quot; God did not
bring us here to turn back, brought us here to possess the land that He gave us.& quot;
2. FIRST RADIAL AND TELEVISION PROGRAM: The Bible in Action that then becomes Dare to
Change February, 2010.

Today, Heavenly Vision Christian Center has a growing membership and a generation of
leaders, preachers and servants of the fivefold ministry, who serve Jesus with love, passion and
conviction; thus forming a family of men and women filled with the Holy Spirit, love and Faith,
who have come to a common agreement to establish a multicultural church of multitudes
distributed in cell groups for the year 2014-2020. Composed of 10,000 members and 2,000 cell
groups with 5 to 10 disciples each cellgroup and all in the unity of the Spirit to glorify God.
Brothers let us capture the vision. Lets do something great for God! Conquer New York for
Christ!
